Summary

Space Hellas, a leading integrator of IT, Network, Security, and Telecommunication services, is thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for skilled professionals to join our dynamic team in the role of DevOps Engineer.


If you are passionate about developing, managing, and monitoring high-availability systems and applications, we want to hear from you! You will be working in collaboration with our software development team and systems engineers to design the best solutions for software and applications installations.



Main Tasks:

  • Management and monitoring of Linux, Virtual and Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Create Infrastructure as code in on premises or cloud-based environments and development/support of automated deployment tools of systems and applications.
  • Participation and implementation of DR scenarios as part of the development sources.
  • Installation and support of software tools, middleware applications etc.
  • Automation and optimization of development/deployment processes
  • Monitoring and deployment of software updates and security patches
  • Monitoring applications execution and operation
  • Ensure Integration of various systems including NMS.
  • Collaboration with application and infrastructure development teams to ensure the best technical solutions


Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • At least 3 years of experience as DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer/Applications Engineer
  • Experience in Linux and Shell scripting (i.e., bash)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (i.e., GitLab/GitOps, Jenkins, Arco CD etc.)
  • Experience in CM tools and infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Computer Languages (i.e., Python, Go)
  • Knowledge of web technologies and data ingress/load balancing through software like Nginx, Envoy proxy etc.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, Proxmox etc.)
  • Working Experience in Kubernetes/Containers/Docker
  • Knowledge of Application and Infrastructure Monitoring tools (Metrics, Traces and Logs)
  • Git knowledge and experience in tickets management
  • Excellent command of the Greek & English language (both written and spoken)
  • NMS configuration/Troubleshooting



Preferred skills

  • Basic knowledge of Observability tools like OpenTelemetry, ELK/EPK, Telegraf
  • Knowledge/experience in microservices architectures
  • Good understanding of distribution applications and installation of distribution software like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
  • Experience in public cloud interfaces (Azure, AWS)
