Summary

Position Description

The Desktop Support Engineer provides day-to-day support to the organization and end-user systems, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and software applications. This position interfaces primarily with employees across various departments and external clients. Typical tasks include troubleshooting laptop and desktop equipment, performing software and hardware fixes, installing and managing internal and third-party applications, providing remote support, conducting vulnerability patching of workstations and applications, and delivering cybersecurity awareness training.



Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date licenses and hardware/software inventory
  • Deploy, troubleshoot, and perform break fixes for workstations, peripherals, and printers
  • Procure IT equipment and supplies
  • Install and upgrade hardware and software
  • Manage patch and upgrade deployment
  • Provide user support and training
  • Manage IT department documentation
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Provide basic LAN support
  • Deploy and support Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices
  • Provide remote user support
  • Continuously pursue professional development and stay updated with industry trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Requirements:

  • Work shift 6:30pm to 3:30am IST must be willing to work onsite in Bengaluru!!!!
  • Experience with desktop and laptop break/fix
  • Basic knowledge of LAN networking
  • Understanding of desktop security and management best practice
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 environment
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an IT-related degree, and/or a combination of directly related work experience (1-2 years).
