The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design new products from cradle to grave and modify existing ones (mainly made by plastic like front grilles, BSM, Rear Spoilers, TGH, etc) using computer-aided design software (CATIA V5)
• Provide support to the engineering team to ensure product quality fulfilling the Customer and Internal specifications in the timing defined
• Call-out non-feasible areas of the Class A surface according to SRG Global standards to get a feasible and robust design for tooling.
• Understand the needs of the design for manufacturing from our plants
• Engage with other organizational capabilities to gain alignment on responsibilities based on comparative advantage
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management
• Utilize experience and judgment to plan & accomplish goals of the plant, business units and corporation
• Essential Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
• Experience using Catia V5, to include GSD, Assembly Design and parametric Solid Part Modeling
• Automotive sector experience including design of trim plastic parts
• UG/NX experience
• Experience applying design requirements & best practices for plastic injection molding

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years’ experience in automotive sector, more than 5-year design trim plastic parts
• be skilled at using CATIA
• Project Team Leader experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Application & understanding of GD&T and location system
• Teamcenter (Siemens) knowledge
• Data Exchange skills in OEM’s PLM systems
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
