Title Deputy Program Manager Description The Columbia Group (TCG), is a technical services support company which has a successful 50+ year history of providing United States government with acquisition, logistics management, engineering, design, fabrication, test and evaluation, information technology and financial management support services. Our client is seeking to hire a Deputy Program Manager to join our team near Washington, DC Navy Yard. Upon award, you will: * Assist our Program Manager in leading a team of 80 to 90 Columbia Group employees and subcontractors supporting our NAVSEA customer in ship acquisition. * Work with various teams to support our customer in various areas including the development and implementation of acquisition strategies and plans, financial management, sea trails, and other waterfront support. Position Requirements Required Education, Skills and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree * 15 years of demonstrated senior level professional experience in the Defense acquisition process, program management, technical, or business management supporting Department of Defense (DOD) ACAT III or higher acquisition programs (ACAT I strongly preferred). * At least three (3) years of recent experience supporting the management of a DoD acquisition program within the last five (5) years. * Experience shipbuilding for amphibious or "T-class" ships would be valuable. * U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Preferred * 15+ years of DoD/Navy program management, specifically NAVSEA shipbuilding programs, acquisition experience. * Project Management Professional (PMP). * DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Amphibious Ship experience highly desirable This position is contingent upon and subject to the award of the contract from the government.
