Summary

JOB This position is responsible for the Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) process and Terrorist Screening Center hits and author of the Suspicious Activity report. This positions applies the Intelligence Process (collection, evaluation, analysis, report and dissemination) to detect threats regarding homeland security or critical infrastructure located within Michigan. Develop intelligence from information reported through the National Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative (NSI). Research current threat trends occurring throughout the nation and compare information provided through secure intelligence network access, federal bulletins and notifications. Produce assessments, reports and intelligence products for dissemination to MSP command staff, local law enforcement agencies or MIOC non-law enforcement partners. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.Experience Departmental Analyst 9No specific type or amount is required.Departmental Analyst 10One year of professional experience.Departmental Analyst P11Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
