Summary

Job Summary:

The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for enhancing and managing the Forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes across the APAC region. The role ensures the right quantity of products is delivered to customers at the right time, optimizing inventory levels, improving service levels, enhancing forecast accuracy, and minimizing waste.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Regional Forecast Consolidation: Manage and consolidate demand forecasts across APAC regions, including the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong (China), Macau (China), Singapore, China's Taiwan region, Malaysia, and Australia.
  • Accurate Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and "what-if" analysis through demand planning applications. Ensure future demand is predicted with precision.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand demand drivers and sales trends. Provide insights to influence sales strategies and optimize stock levels.
  • Reporting & KPI Monitoring: Generate accurate and comprehensive reports to monitor forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decision-making.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels across warehouses to ensure supply meets demand. Develop strategies for existing products, new product launches, and product discontinuations.
  • Trend Analysis: Identify and report on inventory trends, including slow-moving items, and ensure proper phase-in/phase-out planning for product catalogues.
  • Regional S&OP Leadership: Lead the monthly S&OP process, ensuring alignment across the region and with global headquarters.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with the HQ Demand Planning team in Italy to ensure accurate information flow, forecast alignment, and fulfillment of demand needs.
  • System Ownership: Act as the Business Process Owner for the forecasting module in Microsoft Dynamics 365.



Qualifications:


  • Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in demand planning, preferably within the FMCG or retail sectors. Experience in a multichannel or international company is highly desirable.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, VBA, and Power BI are advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is essential.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly across the APAC region.
