Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Degree Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both software and hardware product development while studying towards a relevant degree. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced engineers and second year apprentice on a variety of projects, contributing to the design and development of innovative electronic solutions.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications and hardware components.​
• Collaborate with both clients and the whole Ammtek team and to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.​
• Participate in simulation, modelling, and feasibility studies to support product development. 
• Support prototyping and production activities, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.​
• Engage in continuous learning and development, both academically and professionally, to stay ahead of industry advancements.​

Qualifications:

• A high level of Mathematical understanding, minimum of Grade 7 or above in Mathematics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.​
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.​
• A keen interest in electronics, software development, and engineering.​
• Ability to manage time effectively and balance academic commitments with work responsibilities.​

Apprenticeship Details:

• Duration: Typically 4 years, combining full-time work with part-time study.​
• Degree Earned: BEng in Software Engineering or a related field.​
• Training Provider: Partnership with a recognised college or university offering degree apprenticeship programs.
• Salary: Apprentice salary with incremental increases based on performance and academic progression (following Government guidelines).​
