Summary

The infrastructure architect is responsible for the design of complex infrastructures in line with the business strategy, service offering and customer requirements. Infrastructure Architects fulfil a critical role and are responsible for advisory, design, validating the technical requirements and associated architecture for our private cloud solutions. They actively lead the evolution to hybrid and public cloud. They liaise with other entities to develop proposals and high-level architectures to translate our U-Flex services. They play an essential role in designing solutions aligned with standards and the “ability to execute” of our operational organizations.


Customer/business project related activities:

  • Define technical standards and procedures facilitating the onboarding of new customers into our solutions.
  • Contribute to the definition of business cases, adoption programs, technical and operational readiness assessments to facilitate the onboarding.
  • Support the Project Manager to develop the project plan in order to ensure a smooth systematic onboarding process, risk identification and mitigation, and respect of the “ability to execute” of our operational organizations.
  • Elaborate the HLD and ensure its validation by the customer.
  • Ensure deployment is executed with respect to security and data center standards and support the engineers when required.


Department related activities:

  • Technology watch related to private cloud solutions (HW, SW) in order to maintain/increase the quality/performance of the services.
  • Collaborate with the data center teams to challenge infrastructures in terms of performance, responsiveness, resiliency, security, scalability and, if necessary, initiate changes.
  • Ensure that our private cloud infrastructure is designed and implemented in line with the best practices recommended by the vendors, legal constraints (GDPR, PSF, …) and standards (ISO, SOC2, …).
  • Support the Compliance team during audits and certifications.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure that the data center is secure, reliable, and can meet the organization’s needs.


Strategy related activities:

  • Lead the evolution of private and sovereign cloud infrastructures/solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Sales/DC teams to evaluate/select the best products to meet business objectives while ensuring uniformity/continuity.


Your profile:

  • Education: BAC +5 in computer sciences or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • At least 5 years of technical experience in the concerned domain (Senior Level).
  • Fluent in French and English is mandatory.
  • Must fulfill the requirements to obtain an EU security clearance.


Required skills:

  • Strong background in OSI layer model.
  • OS Microsoft/Linux.
  • Exchange, O365, AD-DNS, ADFS, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle.
  • Good technical knowledge of different technologies: Network (Cisco ACI, Nexus), Security (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5), Storage (Netapp), Virtualization (VMWare, OLVM). Very good knowledge of routing protocols and Cisco ACI principles.
  • Familiar with containerization technologies and architectures (OpenShift, Kubernetes, …).
  • Certifications in one or more of those technical domains.
  • Experience in delivering in a production environment is considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical ability.
  • Solid capacity to produce high-level as well as complex technical documentation (LLD).
  • Curious and motivated to assimilate new technologies and certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capacity to justify purchases, strategies.
  • Able to adapt explanations to technical as well as non-technical audiences.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, analytic, communication and leadership skills.
