Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Teradata Database Administrator (DBA) to manage Teradata Database systems hosted in a Vendor-managed Cloud environment (Teradata Cloud). This role involves end-to-end database administration, infrastructure management, replication, backup & restore, performance optimization, and supporting business-critical data environments.
The candidate must have strong expertise in Teradata Database Administration along with operational knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure & Teradata Cloud environment).
Key Responsibilities:
• Teradata Database Administration on Vendor Cloud (Teradata Cloud)
• System Monitoring, Performance Tuning, and Proactive Health Checks using Viewpoint
• Backup, Archive & Restore operations – Job Creation, Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• File System & Space Management – Capacity Planning, Usage Analysis
• User Management – Creating Users, Roles, Profiles, Access Rights Management
• Teradata Workload Management – TDWM, TASM, Priority Scheduler Configuration
• Replication & Data Movement using Teradata Datamover
• Query Tuning, SQL Optimization, Explain Plan Analysis
• Identifying & Tuning Long Running, Skewed, and High Resource Queries
• Log Management, System Audits & Compliance
• Shell Scripting for Automation (Linux/Unix), Cron Job Management
• Production On-call Support (IST Time Zone)

• Strong Shell Scripting Experience in Linux/Unix Environments
Cloud & Infrastructure:
• Operational Experience in Teradata hosted on Vendor Cloud (Teradata Cloud)
• Working Knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform:
o Azure VNET Configuration
o Private Link Setup
• SSO Implementation in Cloud-based Environments
• Exposure to NOS (Native Object Store)
