Responsibilities:

• Optimize Workloads: Efficiently manage and optimize database workloads to ensure peak performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Performance Capacity Issues: Identify and resolve performance capacity issues to maintain optimal database functionality.
• Migration: Oversee and complete database migration projects, with a significant migration scheduled for completion by September 2024, involving 100-200 databases.
• Customer Interface: Maintain strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers and understand their needs and requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• SQL Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SQL database administration.
• AWS Experience: 1-1.5 years of experience working with AWS, particularly AWS RDS.
• SQL Technologies: Proficiency in SQL technologies, including Always On availability groups.
• Query Optimization: Expertise in query optimization to enhance database performance.
• Database Design: Strong skills in database design to ensure efficient and scalable database structures.
• Backup and Recovery: Comprehensive knowledge of backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity.

Compensation

This position is targeting candidates at an hourly rate between $20-$23 USD per hour.
