We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their team in Melbourne, helping to drive the companies strategy forward through better utilisation of their data, implementing advanced analytics. This will be the first Data Scientist to join the team, so you will be spearheading this data transformation and will be instrumental to the data projects.

• Leverage the companies data from multiple sources, aggregating and integrating it so it can be better utilised for strategic decisions.
• Develop visual dashboards to provide insights.
• Analyse market trends and develop models to uncover relationships within the companies data.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders, including leadership, to understand business needs.
• Implement a tech stack which you believe is best suited to the companies needs.
• Work as part of a talented team of engineers and technologists across different projects.

👤 About you 👤

• Qualifications in a relevant data science or similar disciplines.
• Skilled in Python/ Matlab or similar.
• Strong database skills with PostgresSQL.
• Experienced with visualisation tools such as PowerBi or Tableau.
• Able to work autonomously to drive these critical projects forward.
• Proven experience in a data science position.
• Proactive and able to think on your feet.
• Interested in working in a fast paced R&D environment where no day is the same.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be happy to collaborate with an international team.
• Ability to turn internal requirements into actionable insights.
• Stakeholder management skills and ability to work with a variety of individuals, from technical to non technical individuals.
• Unlimited working rights and located in Melbourne.
• Willing to commute to Altona and work in the office full time.
