DATA SCIENCE TEAM LEAD / MANAGER

(Athens or Thessaloniki office x1 day a week *OR* fully remote in Greece)

Xcede are delighted to be working with one of the world’s largest gaming companies on the scale-up of their pre-existing Data Science & Machine Learning Division. The organisation have an enviable wealth of digital / B2C data available to them given the scale of their userbase. The company would like to capitalise further on this, hence their ambitious (but well-defined) hiring plans.

In particular, we’re currently on the lookout for an experienced Data Science Team Leam – someone who combines the best of Machine Learning, Statistics, Model Deployment and Managerial experience.

The main aim of this unit is to facilitate and enable the ML unit’s key projects. These can range from customer personalisation, recommendation engines, pricing algorithms, anti-fraud algos, marketing model, and A/B tests.

Requirements

• An academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or similar)
• A number of years of commercial experience as a data scientist appropriate to your grade.
• Commercial experience in designing impactful machine learning models
• Experience in helping to take these models to production / deployment
• Python expertise proven by writing production quality code
• Manage & provide direction to team members.

Bonus Requirements

• Recommendation System / Recommender System / Recommendation Engine / RecSys experience
• PySpark experience
• Azure DataBricks experience
• Commercial Deep Learning (including transformers) experience
• Representation Learning Knowledge
