Job Description

Job Summary:

The Data Engineering Senior Manager will lead the organization’s data management strategy, ensuring effective data utilization to drive business decisions and generate value. This professional will manage other managers, supervisors, and individual contributors in a matrix environment, conducting performance management and meaningful career development conversations. They will communicate directions for Data Engineering processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data management strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
• Manage data projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build, extend, and enhance applications that improve efficiency and innovation for data analysis.
• Provide post-deployment support and quickly respond to unexpected service problems.
• Manage operational aspects of the team, including workflow, performance, and compliance, ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
• Stay updated on innovations in data management and analytics to implement innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data management or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading technical teams effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and derive insights from complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across departments.
• Extensive knowledge of data analysis tools and visualization software.
• Significant experience with data engineering tools and frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies to drive project success.
