Data Engineer (Intermediate - Senior) - Full-Time

Join a passionate data consultancy company delivering scalable, cloud-first data solutions. Based in central Auckland, this permanent full-time role offers a hybrid working setup (3 days on-site, 2 remote). You’ll help design, build, and optimise modern data platforms that power business intelligence and analytics.

In This Role, You Will

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory or Airflow.
• Process and transform structured and semi-structured data for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
• Work with modern cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and services like Azure SQL and Blob Storage.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business users to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and help define best practices across the team.
  
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency at the intermediate or senior level in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Familiarity with transformation tools like dbt (preferred) or similar frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Fivetran (nice to have), or Apache Airflow.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
