Overview DATA ANALYST (SSRD) Bowhead seeks a Data Analyst to support our Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) contract in Stafford, VA. The Data Analyst role is part of a business intelligence and data warehouse team tasked with providing data analysis, data design, systems development, training and customer support. Responsibilities * Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate predictive insights. * Analyze and interpret data from diverse spreadsheets to understand variations in data tracking methodologies. * Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing through data validation and reconciliation process. * Recommend and implement improvements to data tracking methodologies and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. * Design and build data visualizations using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data. * Ensure research reports are created using credible qualitative and quantitative methodologies based on key insights and findings from studies. Qualifications * Three to five (3-5) years of expereince; Two (2) years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. * High School Diploma required or Bachelors Degree prefered * Shall have the ability to apply analytical skills relating to database management and development knowledge of relational database management systems. Desired Skills: * Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. * Certifications in Tableau and SAS. * Experience with analytics, databases and business intelligence is preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. * Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds * Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time * Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance at the Public Trust (T-1 Investigation) level.
