Summary

Enable cybersecurity by maintaining operational security posture and ensures information systems security policies, standards and procedures are established and followed

Ensure Windows and Linux logs are being collected, forwarded and reviewed with Elasticsearch

Conduct vulnerability assessments on containers and analyze, research, and prioritize CVEs and their remediation

Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers to provide high quality, innovative engineering services

Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions

Provide input on cyber requirements, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Security Requirement Guide (SRG), JFHQ DoDIN Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO)

Utilize SCAP tools and vulnerability scanning tools (such as NMAP, Nessus (or Tenable ACAS)

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline required

Associate’s Degree can be considered with 2+ additional years of experience

Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (i.e. Security+) or higher

Experience

2+ years of direct experience in system administration and cybersecurity

Security

Must be a US citizen

Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms

Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk

Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)

Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $95,000 - 120,000
