Responsibilities

• Reviewing security alerts and responding to incidents.
• Conducting vulnerability scans and patch management reviews.
• Coordinating with IT teams to implement security controls.
• Monitoring cybersecurity frameworks and policies.
• Overseeing security audits and compliance assessments.
• Conducting risk assessments and security awareness training.
• Attending security meetings and updating leadership on security status.
• Working with vendors to evaluate and manage security tools.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall technologies.
• Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).
• Familiarity with malware analysis, digital forensics, and threat intelligence.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.).

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes security incidents.

Experience & Certifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a SOC leadership role.
• Certifications (preferred but not required):
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified in Cyber Security (CC)
• Certified SOC Analyst (CSA)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
