Overview
Multnomah County is seeking a Public Safety Application testing professional. This person functions as an Intermediate-level software testing and quality control specialist. The position is responsible for ensuring that the software developed by the public safety development team is correct, stable, responsive, and of the highest quality possible within established constraints. The person in this position will be capable of working on the most complex software projects and applying her/his experience testing business applications of an enterprise scale. The successful candidate must demonstrate intermediate knowledge and experience with QA testing concepts, processes and methodologies within the software development lifecycle. The position utilizes both automated testing tools and manual methods to effectively and thoroughly test software.
To Qualify
Experience: One to five years industry-related experience.
AND
Training: Bachelor of Science degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
Other: Ability to pass a criminal history check.
AND
Ability to complete tasks and projects using the software development lifecycle processes:
- A working knowledge and working skill in requirements analysis and specifications.
- A working knowledge and working skill in testing methods: functional, system, integration, regression, stress, and load testing.
Ability To Apply The Basic Concepts Of Information Technology
- A working knowledge and working skill in the application environments and process promotion, quality assurance and control.
Ability to develop moderately complex applications using principles, theories, and concepts:
- A working knowledge and working skill in application and database testing practices.
