As our Customer Insights Manager, you’ll be a strategic linchpin in the business - translating data into powerful insights that drive smarter decision-making, deeper customer engagement, and measurable business growth. Sitting at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Data Analytics, this role is designed to unlock opportunity through a holistic understanding of customer behaviour, market trends, brand health, and business performance. This is more than a data role—it's about influence, vision, and storytelling. Your insights will power campaign strategies, enhance operational performance, support member acquisition and retention, and guide our path in a rapidly evolving health and wellness landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Consumer & Market Insights
- Lead research initiatives to understand member behaviours, preferences, and trends in the fitness, health, and wellness sectors.
- Analyse market data and forecast trends to inform business strategy and highlight growth opportunities.
- Deliver strategic recommendations that enhance our market positioning.
Brand Health & Performance
- Develop and manage brand tracking programs to monitor awareness, perception, and loyalty.
- Combine consumer, market, and operational data to evaluate brand performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
Business Intelligence & Data Integration
- Analyse marketing, sales, and club operations data to provide a 360° view of performance.
- Identify patterns and correlations in data to uncover behavioural and performance insights.
- Partner with data teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integration across systems (e.g., CRM, club management software).
Operational & Financial Insights
- Support regional and club-level marketing through performance and demand analysis.
- Deliver insights into pricing strategy, membership trends, and retention drivers.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work across teams to embed data-driven thinking throughout the organisation.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage third-party research partners to ensure quality and relevance of insights delivered.
Campaign & Performance Optimisation
- Use insights to refine targeting, messaging, and campaign strategy.
- Establish, track and report on KPIs and ROI across all campaigns.
- Evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance metrics.
Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity and provide analysis that highlights market threats and opportunities.
What You'll Bring
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5 years' experience in insights, data analysis, or business intelligence - ideally within fitness, health, wellness or related industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Commerce, Economics or Psychology (with a focus on Consumer Behaviour or Behavioural Science).
Skills & Strengths
- Deep understanding of research methodologies, frameworks and tools.
- Ability to extract actionable insights from multiple data sources.
- Experience managing end-to-end research and insights projects.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, especially for non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic mindset with a commercial orientation.
- Self-starter with strong multitasking ability and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
