Category management team, created to support our expanding business and commitment to category excellence. As Vitaco continues to grow, we are investing in new roles to enhance our capabilities and drive success.
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven, and experienced Senior Category & Insights Manager to drive category management and shopper insights for
Vitaco’s Sports Nutrition portfolio, working under the guidance of the Head of Category in Australia.
In this role, you will play a key part in building a competitive advantage by delivering insight-driven category management initiatives that align with our brand and retailer priorities. As the Senior Category & Insights Manager, you will analyze sales & shopper data to uncover valuable customer, brand, and shopper insights. These insights will shape the development of integrated category plans, strengthening our market position and driving growth.
Your Experience
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making, optimising strategies based on performance insights
- Strategic vision and the ability to drive long-term category growth
- Experience using market & shopper data and translating this into insights
- Proven experience in category, range, space and pricing analysis, Circana or Nielsen reporting tools (including scan/panel data)
- Category management, account management, trade marketing, or brand management, or experience within a data service provider or market research agency
- Experience interacting with customers and retail partners, likely within a grocery, pharmacy or convenience environment
- Degree qualified in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- Have strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a natural curiosity
- Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Collaborating with Vitaco’s cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates with high levels of drive and motivation, along with strong commercial and organisational awareness. A solid baseline knowledge of the fast-moving food and beverage industry, and the key drivers that influence shopper behaviour in this space, is also essential.
