The role
As a Credit & Risk Analyst at INFINIT, you’ll be an integral part of our US Operations team, helping us assess creditworthiness and manage risk as we grow our footprint in the U.S. market. You’ll be responsible for analyzing SME credit applications—primarily in the automotive sector—and making informed recommendations that align with our risk appetite, compliance standards, and strategic goals.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both analytical rigor and sound commercial judgment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Credit Analysis: Evaluate credit applications from U.S.-based small and medium-sized automotive businesses, leveraging financial data, business performance, and management history
- Make Recommendations: Present your findings and recommendations to senior management and the risk committee, ensuring all decisions are in line with INFINIT’s risk policies and U.S. regulatory standards
- Cross-Team Support: Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success to provide credit-related guidance and insights throughout the customer lifecycle
- Stakeholder Communication: Interact directly with business owners to gather key information, clarify financials, and explain underwriting outcomes where needed
- Local Compliance: Apply knowledge of U.S. credit practices—including FICO scores, UCC filings, EIN verification, bank statement reviews, and potential liens—to make well-informed, localized credit decisions
- Operational Efficiency: Help shape and streamline our U.S. credit evaluation process to scale efficiently as we grow
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Experience: 3+ years in B2B credit or risk analysis, ideally within a corporate bank, fintech, or commercial credit control function in the U.S
- Communication Skills: You’re confident speaking with U.S. based business owners, asking the right questions, and delivering insights clearly and professionally
- Analytical & Curious: A natural problem-solver who knows how to cross-reference data, spot inconsistencies, and dig deeper using sources like D&B, LexisNexis, and public filings
- Time Management: Comfortable juggling multiple credit files, deadlines, and requests without sacrificing quality
- Tech Fluency: Experience with platforms like HubSpot, Notion, and Excel is a plus—but what matters most is your willingness and ability to learn quickly
- U.S. Credit Knowledge: Familiarity with FICO scoring, financial statement analysis (GAAP), tax return review, and red flags like recent bankruptcies, collections, or charge-offs
