We are seeking a Cost Controller, based out of our Toronto or Montreal Office.


Reporting to DRA’s Project Controls Lead, you will be responsible for responsible for the development and maintaining project cost information, maintaining planned and actual cost and commitment schedules on a project


Responsibilities:

Cost Control Duties including

  • Populating EPCM schedule with the Actual Budget Forecast
  • Capturing Man-hours on Monthly Basis and updating forecast with PM prior to month end
  • Request, reconcile & capture all reimbursable costs from accounts department, on a monthly basis
  • Prepare & submit EPCM Invoice & statement to client and follow up on payments (Invoice Age Analysis)
  • Monthly forecasting as well as monthly Reports & Dashboards
  • Monthly reconciling of cost with client & DRA
  • Management of the Costrac system (Training will be provided)
  • Loading Cost Flow templates (Cash flow, Terms & Condition as per contract).
  • Capturing orders, payments, change notices etc. for the project
  • Overall management of Project Budget
  • Understanding and updating of asset register
  • Initializing budgetary control system and documentation for projects
  • Preparing forecasts, cost trend reports and monitoring cost and commitment to budget and forecast


Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role within the multi-disciplinary EPCM environment
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business related discipline
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong understanding of EPCM/EPC
  • Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting final costs, cash flows and estimating

  • Ability to work well under pressure, work on multiple tasks at one time, prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and significant attention to detail and possess excellent organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/French) & Spanish languages would be advantageous
