This revolutionary mixture of cloud and semiconductor technology is being used by some of the world’s largest consumer, retail, food, and pharmaceutical companies to change the way we make, distribute, sell, use, and recycle products.

Our investors include Softbank, Amazon, Alibaba, Verizon, NTT DoCoMo, Qualcomm, and PepsiCo.

Wiliot is seeking a Corporate Marketing Director to join our team in San Diego. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of progressive marketing experience with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that align with business objectives. S/he will be responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of strategy and campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. S/he will work with outside resources and cross-functionally with other teams and departments.

Please note this is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Marketing: Help develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with company goals, KPIs, and drives brand recognition, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Plan and oversee corporate events, trade shows, and other marketing activities
  • Brand: Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels
  • Content & Storytelling: Build a content engine; Partner with Product Marketing to generate compelling thought leadership materials including blog posts, infographics, contributed articles, etc. for a variety of channels
  • Campaigns: Collaborate with Demand Gen and Sales teams to create and deliver marketing campaigns for each stage of the funnel via website, social media posts, webinars, etc.; Analyze performance to make data-driven adjustments to optimize results
  • Digital Marketing & Influencer Relations: Supercharge Wiliot’s presence across Owned and Earned channels to drive inbound interest and engagement
  • PR & Social Media: Manage relationships with the media, including press releases, interviews, social media posts; Coach internal spokespeople to confidently represent Wiliot at industry events and in interviews
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve team and individual goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5 - 8 years’ progressive experience as a Marketer working in a startup, preferably a B2B platform company
  • Experience building marketing narratives around technical differentiation and business value in emerging technology markets
  • Strategic thinker who can translate technical capabilities into compelling market positioning
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to simplify complex technologies for different stakeholders
  • Experience with partner ecosystem marketing and go-to-market strategies
  • Ability to manage and deliver against multiple projects and prioritize in an evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record in bringing emerging technologies to mainstream adoption
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bias for action and discretion
  • Advanced proficiency working in PowerPoint; Possesses sharp visual organization of information

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in the shipping & logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of GEO/SEO/SEM
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Figma

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000 USD annually.
