Summary

We are partnering with a global leader in life sciences to identify a Corporate Controller to lead the global accounting and consolidations function. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this highly visible leadership role will work closely with executive stakeholders, including the CFO, to drive financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Global Consolidation: Lead the global period-end close and consolidation process, including review of eliminations and adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Management Reporting: Partner with corporate finance teams to align on comprehensive and accurate reporting used in business performance analysis.
  • Technical Accounting: Support technical accounting matters, including business combinations and other complex transactions. Stay current with evolving accounting standards and implement new pronouncements as needed.
  • Standardization & Controls: Develop and enforce corporate policies and operational procedures to standardize processes, improve internal controls, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to protect the company’s financial health and drive future growth.
  • Systems Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, finance systems, and operational leaders to enhance data governance, financial systems architecture, and internal controls.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Promote transparency and effective communication across the finance organization to streamline operations.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as a key ambassador for the finance function, providing vision, structure, and mentorship to a global accounting team.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Master’s preferred)
  • Active CPA certification (required)
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in public accounting
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and advanced Excel
  • Tax accounting knowledge, including federal, state, and deferred tax understanding, is highly preferred
