Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s growth. This role requires a strong understanding of financial software and accounting principles, as well as the ability to forecast and manage budgets effectively.
Duties
Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee budgeting processes and financial forecasting to guide strategic decision-making.
Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Negotiate Insurance for both Company and Group Health
Utilize financial software such as Sage/Timberline for efficient accounting operations.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
Conduct regular reviews of financial reports and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
Lead the preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a Controller or similar role within a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting practices.
Proficiency in financial software applications, particularly Sage/Timberline.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information clearly.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is highly desirable.
Experience in Construction, WIP Accounting and assisting Project Managers

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
