UNITY has partnered with a highly specialized firm in Austin looking to identify a Controller to manage the accounting and operational functions of both their investment funds and management company. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with various stakeholders with a focus on compliance, financial reporting and daily accounting processes. Our client requires 100% in-office presence in West Austin.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and review general ledger entries, reconciliations and quarterly close functions.
• Managed cash flow projections and manage cash functions.
• Create quarterly reporting packages to enhance quarterly close process.
• Coordinate with 3rd party administrators for fund accounting.
• Respond to investor inquiries regarding fund performance.
• Support capital calls, distributions and annual audits.
• Track escrow schedules.
• Assist with budgeting process and support tax-related functions.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA highly preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years fund accounting, private equity or investment management background.
• Strong expertise in ERP systems.
• Broad experience in GAAP, financial reporting and tax regulations.
• Experience working with 3rd party administrators.
