Zapp is currently looking for a Contract UX Designer, to join us on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for a 6 month period.

What You'll Do 

  • Conduct user research with internal teams (warehouse, CX, Supply Chain, Category Managers) to understand needs and workflows. 
  • Design efficient interfaces for key systems (Supplier, Inventory, Rider Dispatch, Warehouse Management), focusing on core workflows like picking, packing, and dispatching across different environments (handhelds, desktops). 
  • Identify and resolve workflow friction to improve speed and usability while ensuring data accuracy. 
  • Use Figma for wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. 
  • Contribute to and standardize a component library.
  • Collaborate frequently with engineers on design implementation and iteration. 
  • Experiment with AI tools to accelerate design and handoff. 
  • Help establish design processes and documentation standards for the team. 
  • Communicate design concepts and research findings effectively. 
  • Visit our Distribution Center and Fulfillment Centers to understand how your designs behave in the real world.

    What You'll Bring
  • Proven UI/UX Designer experience, preferably with internal tools or operational systems (logistics, supply chain, e-commerce ops experience is a plus). 
  • Portfolio showcasing design process and problem-solving. 
  • Proficiency in Figma (mockups, components, prototyping). 
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers. 
  • Interest in exploring AI tools for design workflows. 
  • Ability to conduct user research and translate findings into design. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles.
