Senior Project Designer – Renewable Energy (Solar & BESS)

Join a global renewable energy IPP working at the forefront of solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project designer to help deliver clean energy systems worldwide.

Our client is in a strong position following the recent grid reforms and has secured significant new investment as they transition into an Independent Power Producer (IPP). It’s an exciting time to join, as they expand rapidly and make a major impact on the UK renewables market.

Responsibilities:

• Design and layout BESS and solar energy systems
• Conduct site evaluations and prepare lease plans
• Run shading analysis and energy production forecasts
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and senior leaders

Requirements:

• 4–5 years’ experience in solar/BESS design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVCase, PVSyst, and GIS software
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Degree in engineering, renewable energy, or related field
