Summary

Location: Hayward & Concord, CA

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. This leadership role involves coordinating project teams, managing client and subcontractor relationships, and driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and manage a high-performing project team, providing supervision, mentorship, coaching, and training.

Deliver timely and constructive performance feedback, including completion of employee evaluations.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Project Management & Execution

Administer and enforce all project-related contracts and subcontracts.

Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure strong working relationships and project alignment.

Develop, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule; ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.

Support pre-construction efforts as needed, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Operational Oversight

Implement and manage procedures for information flow, approvals, reporting, and payments across all project stakeholders.

Lead the budgeting process and manage financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.

Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial documents, including pay applications and project status reports.

Maintain ongoing communication with leadership via regular Operations Review Meetings to report project progress and financial health.

Risk & Compliance Management

Provide strategic leadership in evaluating project risks, negotiating contracts, and making pricing decisions.

Ensure compliance with insurance, labor, and employee relations requirements.

Enforce safety standards and protocols across project sites.

Field Operations

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of field operations and engineering procedures.

Work closely with the accounting team to initiate and track pay applications and ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing multiple construction projects.

Strong leadership and team development skills.

Excellent understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and financial reporting.

Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities.

Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
