WSP is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Austin, TX office!
This Opportunity
Be a key member of our Construction Management Team. This role involves overseeing project implementation, ensuring alignment with client goals, and delivering successful outcomes within budget and schedule. Additionally, the Construction Project Manager will support the WSP Construction Management Local Business Lead, contributing to strategic business development efforts within the region.
Your Impact
Business Development:
* Identify and pursue new market opportunities and client segments.
* Monitor local and regional construction projects for potential engagements.
* Develop relationships with industry professionals through networking events and associations.
* Conduct client presentations highlighting WSP's capabilities and value.
* Lead proposal development, including pricing and project timelines.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
* Support contract negotiations and maintain client relationships for repeat business.
Pre-Construction Phase:
* Conduct constructability reviews and cost estimations.
* Help develop project budgets and bid packages.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants.
Construction Phase:
* Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule adherence.
* Manage risks, review change orders, and oversee quality control.
* Ensure safety compliance
* Facilitate stakeholder communication.
* Conduct site visits, handle requests for information, analyze project data, and recommend adjustments.
* Provide contract administration, document control, and coordination with project stakeholders.
* Ensures final project deliverables (As-Builts & O&M Manuals) meet client standards.
* Support utility coordination, impact notices, contingency planning, and other construction logistics.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
* Minimum of 12+ years of relevant construction experience.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and project delivery.
* Proven experience in construction management with a focus on owner representation.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage schedules, and uphold workplace safety.
* Must successfully pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening and adhere to health, safety, and workplace policies.
