Job Title: Repair Technician Repair Technician Job Description: At K-12 Tech, we understand the value that technology brings to the classroom. When that technology breaks, it can impact your students’ education which is why K-12 Tech works quickly to repair school-owned devices. School that need their technology repaired will receive their choice of either local pick up/drop off, onsite repair, or repair class support Repair Technician Responsibilities: Repairs, installs, and inspects devices electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Including but not limited to iPads, Chromebooks, Desktops, Laptops. Achieves companies standards around repair timeliness and quality of repair for each device. Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs. Manages and installs cables, wiring, and parts as needed. Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronic devices. Performs quality control checks to ensure the functionality of each device is at a satisfactory level. Maintains and follows safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic equipment and components. Develops and maintains records related to devices, parts and repairs. Creates and maintains a clean and organized work area. Performs other related duties as assigned. Repair Technician Requirements: ( What do they need to be a viable candidate) Time management; including multitasking, productivity, and a sense of urgency Excellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills Commitment to company mission and values Basic mathematical & computer proficiency Constructively deals with conflict Adaptability; flexibility and receptive to change Problem analysis & problem resolution at both strategic & functional level Effective decision making based on sound judgment and reasoning Ability to read, write and understand English Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design. Proficient in Google Drive or related software. Detail-oriented and organized. Excellent problem-solving ability. Ability to follow directions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical demands and work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work for prolonged periods longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
