Job Description

• CNC Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using SurfCAM (preferred), Mastercam, or equivalent CAM software for multi-axis mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of 5 machinists to ensure projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Process Optimization: Analyze workflows to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste while maintaining precision.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, QA, and production teams to interpret blueprints, troubleshoot issues, and ensure design specifications are met.
• Quality Assurance: Perform in-process inspections and ensure adherence to GD&T standards, ISO requirements, and client expectations.
• Training: Provide hands-on guidance to machinists on programming updates, tooling, and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of programs, tooling setups, and revisions.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC programming experience in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SurfCAM (strongly preferred) or Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes, G-code, tooling selection, and fixturing.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and team management abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Technical degree (e.g., machining, manufacturing, engineering) or equivalent experience.
