ITS is seeking a skilled machinist who can read and interpret engineering blueprints with precision. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing CNC programs, setting up parts, and operating machines to ensure consistent results and efficient cycle times. Responsibilities include conducting test runs, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring all finished products align with design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and set up machines based on those specifications
Create CNC programs with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
Follow plant safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives
Conduct quality checks to ensure products match design and tolerance standards
Support compliance with AS9100 and ISO quality policies and procedures
Modify cutting paths and machine parameters to improve productivity while maintaining high-quality standards
Diagnose and resolve issues with equipment when needed
Fabricate parts to meet exact blueprint or CAD model tolerances
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of machining experience
Ability to program using manual methods, conversational programming, or CAM software
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus
Willingness to work overtime when required
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Experience with MasterCam is preferred
