Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect (Pre-sales)

Job Description:

MEGAZONE CLOUD is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect (Pre-sales) to lead cloud strategy, architecture, and deployment initiatives for enterprise customers in Hong Kong. This is a key technical role in the founding team of our Hong Kong business, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, extensive hands-on experience in cloud engineering, and a strong ability to drive enterprise cloud adoption. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless deployment and operation of cloud-based environments. This role reports to the Head of Hong Kong Business and involves close interaction with MEGAZONE CLOUD's regional and global teams.

What you will do

1)Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization projects, ensuring best practices in performance, security, and compliance.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Provide consultation and manage stakeholders at the C-suite level.

2)Deployment & Operations

• Manage the full lifecycle of cloud environments, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployments and updates.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies are in place.

3)Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.

4)Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cloud project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical enablement sessions for internal teams.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or cloud operations.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in public cloud (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud or GCP) including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
• Strong experience in cloud networking, VPC design, VPNs, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Hands-on experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent Azure/GCP certification.
• Hands-on experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, telecom) with strict compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud financial management and cost optimization strategies (FinOps).
• Active LinkedIn and GitHub/GitLab profile showcasing technical contributions.
