We are seeking a skilled Cloud Deployment Engineer with expertise in Linux system administration and application support. This role focuses on troubleshooting database performance, network connectivity, and deployment failures while working with compute platforms like Kubernetes and virtual machines. The ideal candidate is a high-performance engineer who is curious, proactive, and capable of solving real-world technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure stability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, network connectivity, and deployment failures at the platform level (e.g., Kubernetes, virtual machines).
  • Ensure timely issue resolution within SLAs, maintaining high service delivery standards.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions.
  • Enhance monitoring solutions to proactively detect and mitigate issues.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration and monitoring tasks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents.
  • Analyze system logs and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support capacity planning and performance tuning for optimal resource utilization.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Linux system administration.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting application support issues, with a focus on performance and connectivity.
  • Solid understanding of database management and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and virtual machines.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across compute, storage, network, and database components.
  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity, with a questioning mindset.
  • Self-motivated learner with the ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience in scripting/automation for system administration tasks.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
