Your new role

  • Design & Implementation: Create cloud solutions that meet business needs, leveraging Azure IaaS, PaaS, and both first- and third-party SaaS.
  • Operational Deployment: Deploy, maintain, and continually improve Azure resources, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.
  • Monitoring & Optimisation: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise cloud environments for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Security: Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure and data by implementing security controls and best practices, aligning with organisational and government security policies.
  • Automation: Automate processes and deployments using infrastructure as code and other programming constructs through DevOps methodologies and platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support the ongoing development and maintenance of cloud environments.
  • Teamwork: Engage with architecture, operations, and external suppliers to coordinate and manage the continual release of critical business services.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure hybrid cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, automation, and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code and automation for deployments, provisioning resources, and configuring operating systems, including Azure-specific IaC languages, PowerShell, and Desired State Configuration.
  • Familiarity with contemporary DevOps platforms, including the use of source control and pipelines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience developing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions and hybrid ICT environments within Federal Commonwealth Government departments.
