We’re looking for an experience Program Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic program of work critical to the future of our retail construction pipeline.
The Opportunity
As Program Manager – Store Development, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and managing the successful end-to-end delivery of strategic retail construction programs. You’ll work cross-functional across our commercial, safety, design, construction, operations, finance and network planning teams to deliver initiatives that drive tangible business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of strategic programs aligned with organisational priorities across the construction and retail space.
- Establish and implement robust project governance, frameworks and reporting processes to support successful execution
- Collaborate closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams and assigned resources to define scope, deliverables, timelines and budgets and troubleshooting activities through the project lifecycle
- Manage stakeholder engagement across internal teams, fostering alignment and accountability
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, management updates, tracking of progress toward business outcomes, and ensure benefits realisation
- Provide regular updates, insights and recommendations for key decisions to the Area Lead – Growth and Change and key stakeholders
- Drive alignment with established frameworks such as PMBOK, Prince2 or Agile, and champion continuous improvement across program delivery
- Contribute to broader organisation strategy execution through effective portfolio-level reporting and coordination
- Tactical follow up on key tasks, coordination of clarification/ troubleshooting, problem solving forums and required follow up to guarantee program delivery
About You
You’re a confident program leader who brings strong project management experience across complex environments – ideally with exposure to construction and retail. Your-re strategic, delivery-focused, and a strong communicator who can navigate complexity and drive clarity.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing programs or portfolios in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
- Experience in construction, retail or related industries is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of program governance, stakeholder engagement and benefits realization Ability to lead through influence, coach others, and build strong relationships across all levels of business
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMBOK, Prince2, Agile)
- Excellent planning, reporting and risk management capabilities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction business or related disciplines preferred
