Responsibilities:

Client Servicing

  • Provide strategic counsel to key clients across travel, consumer, and corporate sectors & serve as a trusted advisor on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Manage & grow senior-level client relationships in travel, consumer brands, and corporate communications
  • Assure internal & external stakeholders are aligned on campaign objectives and deliverables
  • Negotiate & manage client expectations & satisfaction across diverse accounts
  • Participate in, and may drive, communication planning for travel, consumer, and corporate brands
  • Manages and tracks budgets ensuring programs are delivered on budget and within client's expectations
  • Ensure flawless execution of all program elements across multichannel programs that incorporate digital and social media communications for travel, consumer, and corporate clients


Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking

  • Develop & execute integrated communication plans for travel, consumer, and corporate brands
  • Contribute to agency strategic planning initiatives, with a focus on trends across travel, consumer, and corporate sectors
  • Participate in budget & resource management & tracking team utilization
  • Drive cross-team integration/ collaboration on diverse client accounts
  • Build awareness & showcase capabilities, talent & results internally & externally
  • Ability to detect and mitigate possible issues, conflicts, and disruptions in the business, particularly in fast-paced industries


New Business Development

  • Assess the validity and value of new & organic growth opportunities across travel, consumer, and corporate sectors
  • Work with the leadership team to identify new opportunities and determined if a prospective business qualifies for pursuit
  • Responsible for some existing account growth and diversification metrics
  • Begin coordinating and pursuing cross-account/practice & global business opportunities in travel, consumer, and corporate communications
  • Serve as project manager in preparation & delivery of organic growth or new business proposal content & in-person pitch meetings for diverse clients
  • Share industry POV and strong understanding of shifts and opportunities in the competitive agency landscape across multiple sectors
  • Inform, educate & influence existing and potential future clients directly on our agency's value and positioning relative to competing agencies in travel, consumer, and corporate spaces


Content and Partnerships

  • Build & grow relationships with key, senior-level media/influencers across travel, consumer, and corporate industries
  • Identify global, digital & social communication trends; educate clients/agency on their relevance to various brand types
  • Conceive & tell strategic stories apart from client business milestones, focusing on creating engaging narratives for travel, consumer, and corporate brands
  • Manage junior-level staff on global influencer processes & trends across multiple sectors
  • Solicit & share feedback/perception from stakeholders regarding client(s), competition & position in the industry to counsel clients & inform actions
  • Work with junior team members to guide them on editorial content creation for travel, consumer, and corporate brands


Digital & Social Acumen

  • Identify & drive digital/social media strategies for clients across sectors; either standalone or as elements of communication plans
  • Support the establishment of social media objectives and goals across diverse accounts
  • Articulate emerging media platforms & if/how they meet client's business needs in travel, consumer, and corporate spaces
  • Lead clients in understanding the importance of social media engagement for various brand types


People Leadership

  • Manage career development & performance of direct reports
  • Mentor and motivate staff with the goal of retention and development, fostering expertise in travel, consumer, and corporate PR
  • Oversee resource allocation across team including staffing/hiring/onboarding new talent
  • Partner with Human Resources to manage employee relations issues
  • Manage up & educate senior staff on crisis issues, & client/team satisfaction
  • Model & hold team accountable to demonstrating agency values


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience preferably from a PR / integrated communication agency setting environment, with experience in travel, consumer, and corporate accounts
  • A minimum of 3 years of people management experience, managing teams of at least 2 members
  • Sound knowledge and passion for travel, consumer, and corporate sectors
  • Good understanding of the Asian media landscape including strong relationships with Singapore-based reporters and media covering travel, consumer, and corporate beats
  • A track record of running successful campaigns in Asia for travel, consumer, and corporate brands
  • Experience in community management, influencer engagement and social media campaigns across diverse client portfolios
  • Client and business environment: Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist from the requirement of handling multiple tasks across various fast-paced industries
  • Strong presentation and consulting skills, business development skills, along with a good track-record of winning business pitches for travel, consumer, and corporate accounts
  • Roll your sleeves up, lead-from-the-front style leadership. Does more than directs
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) required. A second regional language such as Mandarin would be a bonus
