Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a focused and organized environment. The role involves supporting claims processing tasks and delivering outstanding customer service under the guidance of an Operations Supervisor or Claims Team Leader. Based on performance, there is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Process and register new claims by verifying coverage information and ensuring all data is accurately entered into the system.
• Respond to incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service to agents, insured parties, and other stakeholders.
• Update claim files as directed by claims representatives or team leaders.
• Record and process payments for claims within the system.
• Prepare and maintain accurate loss registration forms and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth claims operations.
• Support customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain a high standard of performance and excellence in all tasks.
  
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in customer service or claims processing.
• Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding skills with a working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented work environment.
