Position: Category Business Development Manager

As the Category Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic growth of key product categories, utilizing advanced analytics and forecasting tools to make data-driven decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, category performance, and operational excellence to ensure sustainable business development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in category management, business development, or a similar strategic role.
• Proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI and/or SQL, with the ability to analyze and visualize complex data.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Category Management:

• Develop and implement category growth strategies aligned with business objectives
• Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for category expansion

Data Analytics and Insights:

• Leverage tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SQL to extract, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
• Develop and present actionable insights to stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.

Forecasting and Budget Management:

• Lead forecasting processes to predict category performance and sales trends.
• Monitor and manage category budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
• Conduct periodic variance analyses to maintain budgetary control and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with planning, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
• Lead initiatives to optimize pricing, promotions, and product assortment to enhance category profitability.

Innovation and Development:

• Identify and introduce new products, technologies, or processes to drive category growth.
• Evaluate category performance and develop initiatives for continuous improvement.
