Apprentice Carpenter We are looking for an apprentice carpenter to undertake a variety of tasks relating to carpentry, painting, drywall, and other tasks related to the interior and exterior of buildings. The position is suitable for a person who is pursuing Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter. Pay Rate: Start with $20.00/hr $22.50/hr upon successful completion of 1 year $25.00/hr upon successful completion of 2 year $27.50/hr upon successful completion of 3 year $30.00/hr upon successful completion of 4 year A separate negotiation upon obtaining Red Seal Journeyman Certificate Requirements: Should have a tool belt & personal hand tools Should have driver's license & own vehicle Should be able to work at height Should be able to carry materials up to 40 lbs Should be able to read imperial scale (inches & feet) Should have strong work ethics & integrity Should be able to work in all wheather conditions Should be able to keep the job site clean by clearing away all carpentry debris and waste Should be able to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: Secondary School (preferred) Experience: carpentry: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person
