Ko wai mātou - About us:
Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders and working to save lives since 1885. Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
It's easy to become isolated when partners and friends pass on or when family members don't live close by. And if you're unable to get out or you're unwell, it can be hard to meet people. Just having someone ask about your day can make all the difference to how you're feeling. Looking forward to a good conversation can really brighten up the day.
Our Caring Caller programme is a telephone friendship service. We match volunteers with clients around the country who would benefit from regular connection.
Our specialty teams specifically support members of your own community, and as part of our Samoan team, you can connect with your client in either Samoan or English.
Connect people who need a friend with people who have time to listen and chat
Call clients regularly to offer support and a friendly voice over the phone
Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:

Successful applicants will receive full training and membership of Hato Hone St John (which gives free ambulance service for immediate family).
