Power BI Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Pleasanton, CA

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate reporting requirements into scalable solutions.

Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows using Apache Spark, Databricks, and Python.

Integrate data from diverse systems including relational databases, APIs, and cloud storage (Azure, AWS, etc.).

Enhance reporting performance through DAX optimization and data model tuning.

5+ years of hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI.

Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data model optimization techniques.

Solid experience with Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.

2+ years of experience working with Apache Spark and Databricks in a production environment.

Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and big data tools.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or other cloud-native data tools.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
