Business Intelligence Analyst at Manukora - Remote

Manukora is a vertically integrated Manuka business with operations in the USA and New Zealand. We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This is a fully remote role, and we’re looking for candidates who can work flexibly, with some overlap during New Zealand business hours.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will be a strategic partner to our leadership team, helping ensure data is at the heart of every decision we make. Your responsibilities will span data analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, and process optimization—with a focus on turning raw data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll play a key role in supporting high-level decision-making and shaping a data-informed culture across the organization. A sharp eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and a love for solving problems with data will be essential.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data and business strategy. You’re someone who doesn’t just crunch numbers—you transform them into meaningful stories that help teams across the business make smarter decisions.

You’ll need to be proactive, curious, and collaborative—able to work independently while partnering cross-functionally. We’re looking for someone who’s technically confident (especially with SQL, BI tools, and data wrangling), and eager to own systems, automate solutions, and empower others to use data effectively.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL) skills for complex queries and analysis
• Strong data modeling and wrangling capabilities, including cohort analysis and attribution modeling
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation
• Familiarity with APIs and pulling data from various endpoints
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• A strong sense of ownership, time management, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Deliver Strategic Insights that Drive Action

• Translate business questions into clear, data-backed insights that support better decision-making
• Triage incoming data queries and report requests; log, prioritize, and complete them in a timely manner
• Create high-quality, stakeholder-ready outputs that are actionable and easy to understand
• Identify recurring ad hoc queries that could be automated and take action to streamline them

Own and Elevate the Data Warehouse & Infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain the health and uptime of the DataHub platform and pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or data outages quickly and effectively
• Document system issues and schema updates to maintain platform integrity and clarity

Empower a Data-Driven Culture

• Build new pipelines or dashboards that support business efficiency and cross-functional needs
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and develop data solutions accordingly
• Create simple user guides or training materials to help others access and interpret data
• Actively look for automation opportunities to scale our data capabilities
