Business Intelligence Analyst, Risk Management Division

Located in HQ, Sofia


The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for regular and ad-hoc reporting on DSK Bank lending portfolio, analyses of risk strategies (champion-challenger tests) and providing relevant information to the management that allows optimizing and improving the portfolio quality. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for performing various analyses contributing toward increasing the understanding of customer behavior, the correlation between client characteristics and risk/delinquency. The BI Analyst also develops and maintains the queries and databases, ensures the data used is compliant and automates and optimizes regular reporting processes.


Responsibilities:

• Extracting Data from various source systems and data marts.

• Develop and maintain core analytics and reports related to Credit Portfolio performance.

• Track lending portfolio performance by automating reports and developing management dashboards.

• Issue recommendations on risk strategy and underwriting process improvement to increase efficiency in credit risk assessment.

• Consolidate and present to the management results of projects and actionable recommendations through effective presentations.

• Execute any ad-hoc analysis or requests on a variety of topics for credit risk, including responses to government and regulatory entities.

• Develop and maintain databases and queries to ensure data used in operations is accurate, according to company policies and compliance

• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

• Stay up to date with the latest data analysis trends and tools, and continuously improve skillset.

• Provide Business Intelligence any time needed for special circumstances/projects.


Requirements:

• Analytical abilities including strong ability to query/gather, segment, analyze, leverage database information using SQL. Ability to develop and automate reporting needs.

• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of SQL and MS Office Excel is a must.

• Ability to work independently and with other groups in a professional and productive manner.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Efficient and flexible under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.

• University degree in a business or mathematics discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics) or a technical field (Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics).


You are the best candidate if you have:

• Experience in risk analysis, risk management or risk reporting, preferably in a banking or financial institution, e.g., in credit risk, market risk, operational risk, etc.

• Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including writing M and DAX scripts; creating and maintaining datasets, reports, dashboards; administering workspaces and apps; granting user access; using data flows and data marts, etc.

• Strong reporting and data visualization skills in Power BI or other BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, etc.

• Experience with any of the following on-premises or on-cloud databases: Oracle or SQL Server data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, data mesh, MS Azure, Databricks, AWS, Google cloud, IBM DB2, Snowflake, Apache Spark, etc.

• Knowledge of the principles and best practices of data governance, data quality, reference and master data, metadata, data architecture, Basel standard BCBS 239, GDPR, etc.
