Your Role & Impact:

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in TUV SUD’s growth and success in the rail sector. Here’s how you’ll drive business development and make an impact:

  • Be a Brand Champion: Represent TUV SUD as the region's foremost authority on rail expertise. Your advocacy will elevate our reputation for excellence with every client and partner interaction.
  • Lead Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new market segments, expand the customer base, and drive sustainable revenue growth in the rail industry.
  • Market Insights & Intelligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform TUV SUD’s business development strategies and ensure we’re always ahead of the curve.
  • Uncover Lucrative Opportunities: Network with industry leaders, attend key events, and conduct thorough market research to uncover new business opportunities, turning them into profitable ventures.
  • Develop and Nurture Relationships: Build strong relationships with key industry players, including customers, partners, and stakeholders. Be the trusted advisor and consultant that they turn to for solutions.
  • Shape Tender Success: Track and manage public and private tenders, working closely with the head office to provide essential insights and bid support to secure projects.
  • Drive Successful Bids: Collaborate with internal teams to refine bids and proposals, incorporating your deep understanding of local market needs to ensure TUV SUD’s offering is tailored and competitive.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Alliances: Identify and forge new partnerships and alliances with key rail industry players. You’ll be the driving force behind exploring new business opportunities and creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Sales Pipeline Ownership: Own and manage a dynamic sales pipeline, from initial lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities.
  • Industry Networking: Stay connected with the pulse of the rail industry by attending events, trade fairs, and symposia. You’ll be our go-to expert for critical networking and visibility opportunities.
  • Accurate CRM Management: Maintain an up-to-date and clear record of all business development and sales activities in our CRM system, ensuring transparent progress and actionable next steps.
  • Market and Regulatory Expertise: Stay ahead of local rail regulations and forward them to the head office, ensuring that TUV SUD remains compliant and ready to take on new business.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Industry Expertise: A solid background in the rail industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer pain points, and competitor strategies.
  • Proven Business Development Experience: Experience in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the rail industry, with a strong focus on revenue generation and market expansion.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in the rail industry, preferably within business development or sales.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills that allow you to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Proven experience in managing sales pipelines, closing deals, and driving revenue growth.
  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of rail systems, infrastructure, and industry nuances.
  • CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking and managing sales activities and progress.
  • Local Market Knowledge: A strong grasp of regional rail trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape.
