The Opportunity:


We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager, Commercial HVAC to spearhead growth with our clients commercial HVAC division. Based in Vaughan, Ontario with hybrid work model, this full-time position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in HVAC systems and a passion for business development.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead market expansion efforts, cultivate strategic partnerships, and deliver customized HVAC solutions to commercial clients.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial HVAC space in maintenance projects under 1 million.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with property managers, facility managers, and contractors.
  • Act as the primary liaison for commercial clients, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with service teams to meet client expectations and resolve concerns.
  • Partner with project managers and service technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Use cloud-based HVAC service software to improve coordination and field efficiency.
  • Align sales goals with internal capabilities and project delivery timelines.
  • Meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, including sales growth and client retention.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts that balance customer satisfaction with company profitability.
  • Stay informed on emerging HVAC technologies, regulations, and market trends.
  • Work with service managers to identify technician training needs and support skills development.


What You’ll Need to Be Successful:


  • Post-secondary education and/or commercial HVAC training.
  • Completion of an HVAC/R apprenticeship or technical certification in HVAC systems.
  • 5–7 years of experience in the HVAC industry, focused on commercial systems with property owners . Working on maintenance projects within these buildings, not projects.
  • Proven success in business development or sales roles, ideally within HVAC or a related field
  • Familiarity working with commercial contractors, facility managers, and project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in HVAC service and dispatch software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Understanding of OEM HVAC equipment and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent closing and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with a focus on results and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, meetings, and industry events as required.
