Job title: Business Development Manager (CCS/LCO2)

Who are we recruiting for?

We are recruiting on behalf of a global shipping company and forward thinking organisation dedicated to driving decarbonisation and energy transition within the shipping and logistics sectors. With a strong global footprint and bold sustainability ambitions, the company is now seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their low-carbon initiatives.

What will you be doing?

This role will focus on the identification, development, and execution of decarbonisation-related projects, particularly in areas such as carbon capture, hydrogen, ammonia, and wind power. You will:

• Research emerging decarbonisation markets and shape commercial strategies around them.
• Identify and develop investment opportunities, preparing detailed proposals and strategic recommendations.
• Manage commercial project execution, coordinating key milestones, budgets, and resources.
• Negotiate contracts, engage with legal, tax, and financial advisors, and oversee stakeholder relation ships.
• Collaborate with teams in global offices (Houston, Tokyo, Singapore), and maintain high-level client relationships in support of strategic objectives

Are you the ideal candidate?

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial project execution or infrastructure investment, ideally within shipping, energy, or decarbonisation.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, financial structuring, and cross-border project development.
• Experience with CCS systems/LCO2 Shipping is beneficial
• Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of investment modelling and tax/legal structuring
