As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of Pathomation’s growth; identifying new opportunities, expanding into untapped markets, and building strategic partnerships that last. You’ll play a key role in crafting and executing commercial strategies tailored to local needs, while acting as a vital link between the market and our internal teams. Responsibilities

Strategic Market Development 

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them. 
  • Expand and maintain a global distributor network, including selection, onboarding, and performance management. 
  • Develop optimal pricing and commercial models aligned with local market parameters, in collaboration with distributors. 
  • Identify trends and needs in the market and translate these into growth opportunities for Pathomation. 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic growth plans in coordination with the management team. 

Sales & Customer Development 

  • Generate leads through the distributor network and direct prospecting of strategic accounts. 
  • Provide input to marketing for the development of supporting materials for distributors and partners. 
  • Monitor and support distributors in optimizing their sales efforts and increasing their product knowledge. 
  • Follow up on prospecting progress through to deal closing. 
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with reference customers, partners, and other stakeholders. 
  • Lead negotiations on distribution contracts and pricing. 
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities. 

Networking & Relationship Management 

  • Build a professional network with pathology professionals, scientific organizations, and strategic partners. 
  • Represent Pathomation at trade shows, events, and conferences to identify business opportunities. 
  • Maintain active contact with internal stakeholders (such as marketing, sales, and operations) to maximize growth opportunities. 
  • Actively monitor relevant market developments and leverage contacts to identify business opportunities. 

Analysis & Reporting 

  • Monitor and report progress against growth targets. 
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of growth strategies. 
  • In collaboration with Marketing: analyze market data, competition, trends, and customer behavior to gain strategic insights and support decision-making. Provide recommendations and report accordingly. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, International business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Previous experience with distributor networks in EU, Asia or US.
