Summary of Role:

The business development manager is responsible for converting new business prospects into warm leads for the account management team by pitching Jisp and its solutions as an indispensable business partner. You will work in partnership with the sales team to generate profitable sales by showing prospects how Jisp’s technology and expertise helps to deliver outstanding ROI.

You will organise your time and resources to research the database of prospects, to build your product and market knowledge and to learn and rehearse your sales pitches so that you give yourself the best opportunity to convert prospects into customers.

You will collaborate well internally, working alongside team leaders to develop win more customers and to grow revenues.

1) To hit or exceed agreed sales and profit targets demonstrated by:

a) Hitting our numbers, base and then exceeding

b) Selling solutions that support customers’ current and future plans at the right price

2) To develop and maintain profitable customers, demonstrated by:

a) close and up to date insight into their business needs

b) understanding and promoting our strengths

c) market knowledge

d) customer goodwill

3) To deliver agreed inputs demonstrated by:

a) weekly call and meeting hits (time spent with customers)

b) effective planning of daily and future activity

c) effective and on-time closing

4) To collaborate well, demonstrated by:

a) Sharing customer insight

b) Participating in innovation

c) Problem solving

d) Supporting our product teams

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

1. To manage, support and grow the sales team of Business Development Executives.

2. To plan for, achieve and exceed individual sales targets through a mix of effective new business and established customer calls.

3. To deliver agreed number of effective customer contacts each week in order to optimise our service to customers and to ensure coverage of the wider market.

4. To source and build an effective base of new customers using internal and external resources and through agreed new business call targeting contact.

5. To produce robust annual sales forecasts for your customer base and to submit regular re-forecasts to your team.

6. To have complete and up-to-date knowledge of our products and their competitors, including new developments and changes to our products and to keep your customers informed

7. To keep accurate records of all customer activity and contact in our CRM system and be meticulous about all aspects of administration, minimising account queries and delivering what we promise.

8. To work as an effective part of the wider team, successfully collaborating with all other staff towards the delivery of our company targets

9. Reasonable out of hours mingling with customers is expected

1. Media and online sales experience

Desirable:

1. Track record of success in B2B sales

2. Experience of using CRM packages

3. Experience in retail
